In February 2024, I brought together 36 critical scholars, activists, and community organizers from around the world to share their experiences researching and contesting algorithms designed to police, incarcerate, surveil, and control human beings. As a community, we stand against the use of technologies like these, which we refer to as 'carceral AI'. The participants collectively drafted a critical report to provide a resource for researchers, community organizers, and policy-makers to get informed about the key issues at the intersection of the carceral system and AI.
